## Worked example: lead routing
| Decision | Example rule | Acceptance test |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Eligibility | A contact has reached the agreed qualification stage. | An unqualified contact is not routed. |
| Territory | Use the validated country property owned by CRM operations. | A record without country enters an exception queue. |
| Assignment | Apply the published territory-owner mapping. | A record with a valid territory reaches the mapped owner. |
| Reassignment | Preserve an existing active owner unless an approved rule applies. | Re-enrolment does not silently overwrite ownership. |
| Monitoring | Measure qualifying records awaiting assignment, with a defined time window. | The report agrees with a manually checked record sample. |

Review these rules with your team before configuring automation.
