Rooms For Roomers

Artists, venues
and event delivery.

An arts and music association in Barcelona, connecting artists and venues to help both reach new audiences. I was one of three founders.

The project

Creative work.
Practical coordination.

The association was built around being bold, sincere, transparent and empowering. Delivering that idea meant combining community development with the operational details of each event.

My role spanned association management, digital communication and event production.

My contribution

My role across
operations and production.

01

Association operations

Helped structure the association, develop its roadmap and manage day-to-day activities and memberships.

02

Communication

Developed design guidelines, social media content and campaigns, and email communication for events and the community.

03

Event production

Created and promoted events, managed ticketing on platforms such as Resident Advisor and Eventbrite, and coordinated setup and delivery.

04

Artists & partners

Worked with artists, venues and event teams, including artistic direction for Push Forward Festival.

What it adds to my work

Stay adaptable.
Keep people aligned.

Events require clear responsibilities, reliable communication and fast responses when circumstances change. These are the same working habits I bring to projects with multiple technical and business stakeholders.

Collaboration context

“Louis is highly adaptable when faced with the unexpected and is an excellent team player. He is always looking for solutions and is someone you can rely on, both to meet deadlines and to carry out projects professionally.”
Laura Alonso Collaboration at Push Forward Festival Excerpt translated from Spanish · October 2024
“Louis was a fantastic leader and partner to my team at Longboard Girls Crew as we co-hosted parts of the programming together. Besides leading the curatorship of the artists as well as stakeholder and relationship management, Louis also went above and beyond to help with anything else that was needed.”
